St. Jude Medical Center Lobby Waiting Room Expansion

HDC was commissioned to be the design-builder for the lobby waiting room expansion for St. Jude Medical Center in 2008. With the completion of the new Southwest Patient Tower, which connected with the North Patient Tower that links to other buildings on the campus, the need of creating a lobby waiting area became a top priority soon after. The HDC/SWA team was able to identify and validate all possible locations for the new lobby waiting area for the Hospital and quickly move forward with the project upon approval. The design intention for the new lobby waiting area is to provide a welcoming and calming environment to lower the anxiety level of arriving patients and/or their family members.  The HDC team was proactive in managing and coordinating the material delivery and construction schedule since the project location and meeting schedule is extremely critical for this project.
